UPCOMING SHOWS

Marentin Fehr

Marentin Fehr is a young emerging singer/songwriter from small town Saskatchewan, currently residing in Saskatoon, SK. From dreamy, acoustic numbers, to uplifting pop tunes, and even punchy indie rock, his music is consistently sprinkled with optimism but grounded in reality.

This year, he was nominated in the inaugural Saskatchewan Music Awards for Indigenous Artist of the Year. He was the youngest artist nominated for an award. Very recently he debut EP, Tonight's Performer, was nominated for Best Pop Album at the 2019 Indigenous Music Awards. In addition, he was runner-up to Living Skies Teen Vocalist of the Year in the Living Skies Teen Vocal Showcase, and the 1st Place Winner in the inaugural Saskatchewan's Got Talent competition at the YXE Food Truck Wars.

Marentin released his debut EP Tonight's Performer, on August 25th, 2018, and has since been performing at stages and festivals across Saskatchewan and beyond.

Marentin does all of this while also teaching music lessons to children and youth in the community for free or low cost.

He attended the Recording Arts Institute of Saskatoon in 2017.

In his free time he is found busking by the river, and exploring both urban and wilderness areas of his home province. Taking his own path, he’s found a love for the indie-folk styles of many Canadian artists, and hopes to emulate and channel some of that through his own work.
